So the day Billy Mays dies just happened to fall on my son's birthday, so needless to say I just found out about that, which sucks I love Billy Mays.

Today was great however. Martin totally didn't know what the hell was going on, but had a great time none the less. All he knew is that all his family was there singing happy birthday really loudly and out of key, he got to play with and eat his cake, and got presents. So it was an awesome day even if he doesn't comprehend fully what a birthday means.

He had a Winnie the pooh birthday since he loves Tigger and grandma's nickname for him is Pooh. We had the party/picnic at Scovill zoo which is Martin's and his god sister's/second cousin's favorite park. We got a lot of good pictures which as soon as we can will be posted onto Facebook. It is so surreal that my son is now one and is almost walking on his own, time has gone by so fast. It feels like I will wake up and find a teen in the other room. For the first time in my life I want time to slow down, I guess parenthood does that to you.

So I haven't posted in awhile and I apologize.

So we had a great time in Florida and Jason got all depressed when we got back and misses Florida. So Jason is going to apply to FIT in Melbourne and hopefully he gets accepted, I think he will since he does have a recommendation from Prez Karen, Paruk, and Wendy. Plus it will almost be a year working the bio labs for Tate & Lyle. I burned while we were down there while Martin and Jason tanned, damn Jason and his Mediterranean ancestry. Well at least Martin inherited that gene and not my put as much lotion on you as you can and still get burned genes. Martin loved the beach, but of course he would he is a Cancer. Tried to eat a sea shell, but the shell was too big, which is caused him to get a lot of sand in his mouth which was funny to see the look on his face.

Sea World was awesome, Martin kept calling the sea lions and seals cats and we got to spend time with Kelly and his family which was nice. Kelly's dad is really nice and loved playing with Martin and Shawn, even buying them stuffed animals. Disney world was exhausting, but fun. The kids really enjoyed themselves which made up for my feet feeling like they wanted to fall off at the end of the day. Martin really like Tigger and wanted to take him home I think. When Tigger left Martin tried to go after him, but the high chair prevented that. On the way back to St.Louis the Pilot gave Martin a pilot wing badge.

When we got back our car broke down about 70 miles from home, some soldiers tried to help us out, but they had to be somewhere in 40 mins so they gave us their jumper cables. We called Jason's mom and she came to get us, thank goodness she brought formula because Martin was just about out by the time she got there. We jumped the car and then proceeded to drive home. On the way back near Springfield there was an accident and because of the stop and go motion the car stopped running again right next to the accident. The cops just looked at us like WTF man! We explained what happened and they helped us push the van off the road and stayed even after the accident was cleared away to divert traffic around us so Jason's mom could park next to us and try to jumped the car again. It didn't work this time so we grab what we could from the car and put into Lorraine's car. The cops gave us until the next day to get the car towed.

We found out that the alternator died so we got a new one. Now fast forward to this last Friday. We are leaving Wal-Mart and the car starts to act funny, like shuddering and the lights on the dash flickering. So we drive to his cousin's place because it is closer and he knows somethings about cars. We find out it isn't the battery and it couldn't be the alternator since we just replaced that. So since it is memorial day weekend we couldn't get anything down until Tuesday. We towed it to the auto shop and they find out it is the alternator and that the person who did it last time didn't connect it to the battery properly. So we are like ok the SOB charged us a lot money only to F us over thank goodness we have a warranty on the alternator. Then we find out that the warranty is only effective if we get the work down at their shop, well we can't do that since they only have a shop in Springfield and we live in Decatur. So we had to pay for another alternator and a post that was damaged due to the alternator not being connected properly. So there goes the rest of money on the credit card.

Now we hopefully have all our car problems figured out *knock on wood*. Now we are focusing on Martin's first birthday on the 28th. We have decided to get him a Winnie the pooh cake with baby Pooh and Tigger sitting together and hugging. We are having his birthday at the zoo, they have a nice and new playground with picnic tables and BBQ grills. So we are having cake, ice cream, hot dogs and hamburgers. Typical outside picnic at the zoo with the whole massive family Jason has. Oh and I think Martin might be allergic to peaches since after he ate peach cobbler he broke out in a rash on his neck. We read the ingredients and he has had everything before in it except peaches so it has to be that. So no peaches for Martin which is sad since I love peaches, I am just glad it was just a rash and nothing else too serious. Well it is clean up day and I need to continue on with the cleaning and then it is dinner time. We are having turkey legs since they were super cheap. Ummmmm Turkey Legs!

OMG! Obama won and we don't have to move to Canada. I cried, it was so unexpected, I didn't cry when my son was born, but I cry now. I held myself together until I looked at my son and realized my vote made sure that he has a future. I just held him and cried for joy.

Hi everyone,

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently the Republicans knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with YES votes.

I know -- it's only a poll. But it will be reported on PBS, picked up by mainstream media and can influence undecided voters in swing states.
Please do two things -- takes 20 seconds.

1) Click on link and vote yourself.
http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html
2) Then send this to every single Obama-Biden voter you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on.
The last thing we need is PBS having to say our viewers think Sarah Palin is qualified.
Please take a moment to provide your feedback. This is a single question

Now the UK has to bail out their banks, India stopped their trading and shut down the market so they didn't get screwed and the Asian market is fucked. Actually the whole world is fucked. If anyone is still awake right now it's on CNN, plus the British guys accent is funny or obnoxious haven't decided which yet.

But yet there are those who want to vote for McCain so that we can four more years of the same damn thing.

I feel so sick of people who don't give a crap about their children right now. So today Jason and I had to go around town and do some things around town. Well the first place we went to was the WIC office to get new coupons for Martin because although I breastfeed and produce a lot, it's just not enough for my hulk of a son. Seriously he eats just as much as his father and grandfather, which means he is always wanting food. We even had to start on cereal and he isn't even three months yet.

Well anyways we were at WIC and I notice a baby boy in a infant car seat that is way older than Martin not doing anything. It look like he wasn't thinking about anything at all. I really wanted to cry for the little guy because the mom wasn't even looking at her child didn't want to hold him, talk to him or anything, just kept him in a car seat that was way too small for him and dingy/old. While I was holding Martin making him laugh and letting him play with his toys.

Then we went in to see the nurse and she was like how old is he? I said three months and she looked like she didn't believe me. She said, "wow he is a very happy baby and very developed compared to the babies his age and older that come in here." While she was saying this Martin was laughing, smiling, and talking to her and the other nurse in the room. She then asked me questions about his eating habits and when I told her that we were breastfeeding, formula feeding, and giving him cereal she just laughed and said, "I can tell he is eating a lot because of his huge thighs." Then we had a discussion on how more mothers should hold their babies and stop leaving them in car seats all day, also about how a lot of babies nowadays area having flat heads because they are left in car seats. The nurse seemed really glad with us and gave us the most we could get for formula.

After we picked up the coupons we went to Target and bought a new baby carrier. I currently have the baby swing, but he is just to big for it now and have been just carrying him with my arms. So we bought a baby carrier pack that allows you to carry your baby in front so that you can have your arms free to do other things and couple of sleep and plays because he is starting to not fit into the ones he has. He is only three months and we have to by 6-9 month clothing, everyone I talk to says he will stop growing and level out, but I don't think so at the rate he eats. Then we went to Walmart and used the coupons for formula.

When we went into Walmart I was shocked to see this asshole of a dad with three kids. He just tossed his baby that looked a little older than Martin into the baby seat of a cart. And when I say toss I mean toss and very violently I might add and yelling at his four year old daughter cursing at her. Not to mention his shirt said State Prison, a very mature shirt for a man that looked like he was approaching forty. Not to mention he had the smell and look of an alcoholic. Then when I was grabbing a cart for us and putting Martin into the baby seat he gave me this creepy look that made me want to scream and shiver in disgust. Thankfully we didn't run into him again anywhere in the store. Of course we wouldn't we were in the baby section getting formula and I bet he would be in the liquor area.

Finally we went to Richland Community College to turn in somethings for my enrollment for next semester online classes. I was able to try out the carrier and I love it, it will make getting things done around the house a lot easier.

Now I am going to eat dinner, watch some TV and relax before Martin gets hungry again.

Oh today I got an IUD (Mirena) so I don't have to worry about getting pregnant for another five years. The thought of that is so glorious. But it sucked I hadn't had a period since Martin was born because of the breastfeeding and putting the IUD in induced a period. Teh Suxs And I found out my uterus was facing the wrong way and none of doctors up in Ashland during my numerous check ups never said a thing about it. So that explains the horrible period pains, and the fact that giving birth was a lot more painful than it was actually suppose to be. Thanks doc you really did your job there, don't get me wrong she is a wonderful person it's just who can you forget to tell or notice that my uterus is ass backwards. If my uterus was facing the right way than I probably wouldn't have needed the pain meds. So every time I want to have a baby and give birth again I will ask for meds early or face excruciating pain in my back to the point where it feels my back will snap in half. This also means I will have to stop at two if I want to keep my back in working order. *sigh* My whole life I had this and didn't even knew sure does explain a lot now.

So I get to meet my father for the first time in my life today at six. He is going to be here for a couple of days for some Christan power team event which he is hosting the event himself. I didn't know he was in town until Jason's mom pointed it out in the paper today. So I decided to go to the event and have him meet his only grandson. What a very small world we live in.

Jason put the baby pics on facebook and I didn't realize how many pics there were, there are a lot. Martin is doing great, he is about 10lbs now and 22.3in, the doctor says he is in the top 75% in growth for a baby his age. He doesn't fit in his newborn diapers anymore so we had to go a size up, he seems to really like the pampers swaddlers so that is going to be the brand we stick with.

We are almost packed up just need to clean the apartment and pack up my suitcases. We had to send a lot of stuff in the mail to Jason's mom because we can't fit everything in the van. Thanks to Pan we don't feel so overwhelmed or rushed to get everything ready at the last minute. Thanks Pan. It's hard to get packed and clean with a newborn so thanks for all your help.

On Saturday I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. His name is Martin Constantine Pappas and he was 8lbs 8.8oz, 20.3 in. The first night home was exhausting, last night was great, we had to wake up four times, but we got a total of 10 hours of sleep compared to the five we had the first night. We are so lucky that we don't have a fussy baby, he is actually pretty mellow. Breast feeding is going great he is latching on good and I have plenty of milk for him.

In three weeks Jason and I should be moving down to Illinois we just have to wait for Jason brother to come up and help us move.
